To start the installation, please make sure the following objects
Compatible vehicle
VCI is compatible with all gasoline-powered vehicles(including hybrids) sold in the United States during or after 1996.
Device

-  iphone/ipad touch: ios 9 or later. 

-  ipad: ipadOS 9 or later.

-  macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with the Apple M1 chip.

-  Android 4.4 operating system or newer.

Bluetooth
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone through the settings menu.  
Cellular Data Connection​
For the better experience, we highly suggest you have a good cellular data connection or a strong Wifi connection (try connecting with/without Wifi).
Installation Guide
Complete the steps 1-3 on your mobile.
1.Bluetooth On
Enable Bluetooth on your phone through the settings menu:

Tap the toggle switch to turn it on.
2.Download App

Search “OBD GO” on the App store or Google play. 
OR scan the QR code below.

* There is no additional fee to for downloading the app.
3.App Registration​
For the better experience, we strongly recommend you to register an account.
Please go to “Toolbox-Profile” to finish your account registry.
Change unit
Click the "gear" icon to go into setting to change units.
Complete the steps 4-7 on your vehicle.
4.Find OBDII port

​Your port is typically found on the driver-side underneath the dashboard just above the pedals. 

The five positions below are the most common locations.

5.Ignition on​
Please turn on your vehicle ignition.
6.Insert Sensor ​

​Plug the sensor to the port, then press “Tap to Connect” on the app.

*Blue light from sensor bottom indicates it has power.

7.Tap to scan
Press the button says“Tap to scan”.
After the sensor finish scanning, you will see how many problems are found,and the report details will become available.
8.More details
​After a successful scan, the more Details page will appear with information on the code.
9.Clear code
​Click “Clear All DTCs” on the more details page to clear the code. If the code is cleared but the issue with the vehicle is not resolved, the check engine light may reappear after a certain number of miles have been driven.
Main Feature Guide
1.Multi-vehicle Control 

​Add, edit, or delete any of your vehicles. To add a vehicle, click on the '+' at the upper right of the screen. To edit or delete a vehicle, long press the vehicle or tap 'Edit'.

2.Torch Light
​Press the torch button on upper right will turn on the mobile torch
3.Vehicle Voltage
​Read vehicle voltage on upper right after successful connection.
4.Vehicle Information
​After a short time scan, vehicle information of VIN, CALID,CVN, DTCs, MIL, protocols etc. will be displayed.
Change the information between engine and transmission.
5.Smog Check
​After a short time scan, vehicle I/M readiness status will be displayed.
Change the information between engine and transmission.
6.Data Stream

​After a short time sc​an, vehicle data stream will be displayed.

Scroll up to search.

Select a live data to view or multiple to merge.
Switch the chart display method.
Clear data
Freeze data
Set minimum and maximum value as you like.
7.Freeze frame
​After a short time scan, DTCs freeze frame will be displayed.
8.Mode 6​

After a short time scan, mo​de 6 will be performed. Reference value will be displayed.

9.MIL Status
After a short time scan, vehicle MIL indicator status, indicator running time, indicator distance will be displayed.

User is able to test 0-100 km/h(0-60 mph) acceleration speed through this function.

 ● Road Camera Mode

          ○ Camera permission is required, user can share a test video by screen record.
          ○ Speed must be 0 km/h(mph) to start the test.
          ○ Screen record will auto start when speed over 20 km/h(10 mph).
          ○ A valid test result will be auto generated when speed over 20 km/h(10 mph).
          ○ Test will auto finish when speed reach 100 km/h(60 mph).
 ● Casual Dashboard

          ○ Use a digital style dashboard to test acceleration speed.
          ○ Speed must be 0 km/h(mph) to start the test.
          ○ A valid test result will be auto generated when speed over 20 km/h(10 mph).
          ○ Test will auto finish when speed reach 100 km/h(60 mph).
          ○ Auto display the best data options according to different vehicles.
 ● Select a speed source

          ○ GPS

               ◾ Location permission is required, VCI connection is unnecessary.


          ○ OBD
               ◾ Speed data comes from OBD, VCI connection is required. 


 
Fuel consumption

User is able to check instant fuel consumption, total fuel consumption, average fuel consumption after a trip.

A report will be automatically generated to show user fuel consumption details for analysis.

Component Test - The purpose of this service is to enable the VCI to control the operation of an on-board system, test or component. With the help of this service, the se rvice technician can activate an on-board test mode.

Can I leave it plugeed into my vehicle?
Yes you can, but for your car battery consideration, we still recommend you to remove the sensor when you are finished.​
